המאפייה
המאפייה שסיפקה לחם לקיבוץ ולתושבי המושבה רחובות, שימשה כמסווה למפעל התחמושת התת קרקעי. תנור האפייה, שמשקלו 10 טון, הונח על מסילות. כאשר הוזז ממקומו בשעת הצורך, בעזרת מנוף חצובה, נפער פתח גדול, דרכו הכניסו למפעל מכונות ייצור וחומרי גלם.
ארובת התנור שימשה גם לפליטת אויר מזוהם מן המפעל. מזרנים עבים, מתחת לתנור, הבליעו את רעש המכונות.

THE BAKERY
The bakery supplied bread to the Kibbutz and residents of Rehovot and served as a concealment for the basement ammunition factory. The oven weighs 10 tons and was mounted on tracks over a shaft used for lowering machinery and raw materials to the factory below. The oven chimney was also used to expel stale air from the factory. Thick mattresses were placed under the oven to suppress the clangor of the factory mạchinery.

The sign shape is rectangular but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
