בית הקשתות
ב 30 ליוני 1948, במהלך מלחמת העצמאות, במקום זה, ב"בית הקשתות" בכפר בית ג’יז, הוצא להורג - בהחלטת בית דין שדה שהוקם שלא כדין - קצין צה"ל, סרן מאיר טוביאנסקי ז"ל, מפקד שדות התעופה בירושלים. טוביאנסקי, שעבד גם כמהנדס בחברת החשמל הירושלמית שנוהלה ע"י הבריטים, נחשד ע"י ראשי שרות הידיעות של צה"ל (הש"י) במסירת מיקומם של מתקנים חיוניים של ה"הגנה" בירושלים שהלגיון הירדני הפגיז. רק שנה לאחר הוצאתו להורג ולאחר חקירה ממושכת בהוראת דוד בן גוריון, ראש הממשלה ושר הביטחון דאז, טוהר שמו והוא הובא לקבורה בטקס צבאי (7 יולי 1949) כחלל צה"ל שנהרג בשגגה. בהמשך נקבר ב-1951 בהר הרצל.

BEIT HAKESHATOT (HOUSE OF THE ARCHES)
On June 30, 1948, during the War of Independence, Beit Hakeshatot in the village of Beit Jiz was the site of the wrongful execution - as per the decision of an illegal field court-martial - of an IDF officer, Capt. Meir Tobianski of blessed memory.
Capt Tobianski was the commander of the airfields in Jerusalem One year after his execution, he was cleared of any wrongdoing and reinterred in a military ceremony as an IDF casualty.

تم اعدام . عن طريق الخطأ , ضابط جيش الدفاع الإسرائيلي مئير توبيانسكي رحمه الله ، قائد المطارات في القدس ، في هذا المكان المسمى " بيت الأقواس " في قرية بيت جيز ، في يوم 30.6.1948 . وذلك وفقا لقرار المحكمة العسكرية الميدانية التي تم إنشاؤها بطريقة غير قانونية .

The sign shape is rectangular but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
