בעקבות עליית אוטובוס יהודי על מוקש בקרבת מקום בפברואר 1948 ופציעתם של 28 מנוסעיו, פוצץ בית אבו ג’בן ממנו יצאו אנשי הכנופיות לפעילות עויינת
מבצע פיצוץ הבית הוטל על מחלקה מגדוד 52 בחטיבת "גבעתי" בפיקוד סמ"פ ב’ שלמה להט, (ציץ) לימים אלוף בצה"ל וראש עיריית ת"א-יפו.
ב-26 לפברואר התבצעה הפשיטה שכללה טיהור ופיצוץ הבית הדוקומתי, בית הבאר וחסימות דרכי העפר לבידוד איזור הפעולה.
תוצאות הקרב: מחיקת בית אבו ג’בן ובית הבאר, לאוייב עשרות הרוגים לכוחותינו פצוע אחד.

Following the boarding of a Jewish bus on a nearby mine in February 1948 and the injury of 28 of its passengers, the Abu Jaban house was blown up, from which the gang members went out to hostile activity.
The operation to blow up the house was assigned to a platoon from the 52nd Battalion of the Givati ​​Brigade under the command of Deputy Commander of Company B, Shlomo Lahat, (Chich), later a general in the IDF and the mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
On February 26, the raid included a purge and explosion of the two-story house, the well house and the blockages of the dirt roads to isolate the area of ​​operation.
Results of the battle: Erasure of the house of Abu Jaban and the house of the well, for the enemy dozens killed to our forces one wounded.
