Comments:
It is not clear why the city’s leaders decided to dedicate a street to the city’s first baby. Perhaps because of her short years (only 17 years)

Comment by Israel Topper’s sheds light on the mystery:
Rebecca Mitrani Beyond being the first baby of the community, the daughter of the late milkman Siman Tov Mitrani, who was known to everyone and was killed in a car accident when a car ran over her, after getting off the bus and crossing Geha Road on her way to her brother Uri’s bar mitzvah.
In the small neighborhood that was then, where everyone knew everyone, they were shocked by the disaster and therefore decided to call it by an alley that was adjacent to her parents’ house. This is not a funny sign but a very tragic one.
