70 to Israel | Blue and white art An art exhibition in the public parking lots of Tel Aviv-Yafo in collaboration with Pango
Initiated, Curated and Produced Iris Elhanani, Doron Polak
Inspired by the current trend in Israel and around the world to take art out of the formal spaces of museums and galleries and make it accessible to the general public, and in honor of Israel’s 70th anniversary, the Ahuzat HaHof company chose pango to present a contemporary art exhibition in the parking lots.
Huge prints of works of art painted by 3 generations of artists in the city of Tel Aviv will be displayed on the walls of the Culture and Golda parking lots, a special experience of culture, art and color.
Participating artists: Aryeh Azen, Baruch Elron, Naftali Bezem, Nahum Gutman, David Gershon, David Gerstein, Zoe Sever, Rafi Peretz, Oded Feingersh and Menashe Kadishman represent 70 years of original Israeli work. Among them are veteran artists, immigrant artists and young artists who express the landscapes of the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo, the place of the state to this day.
The project is accompanied by a creative project in collaboration with the director of the Central Division, in which children and parents participate, painting Tel Aviv inspired by the artists’ works. Community activities take place in creative workshops that take place in schools, community centers and the Habima plaza. Their creations will turn into a spacious creative collage that will be displayed at the entrance to the parking lots.
A Pango app that allows payment in parking lots, together with the Ahuzot HaHof company, initiated the exhibition of works out of a desire to upgrade the drivers’ experience, inspire them in an unexpected space and, among other things, use the works as an identifying mark for their car’s location.
