In this house lived the English conductor who was best known as the conductor of the BBC Proms (Henry Wood Promenade Concerts Presented by the BBC) named today after him. Concerts that began in 1895 and took place in London parks, and later in main halls in particular Queen’s Hall and Albert Hall.
The sign was placed in 1969
