Comments:
The sign is located at the place where the founding meeting of the Marine Society took place. The association was established in 1756 during the Seven Years’ War (Britain, Prussia and Portugal against France, Austria, Russia and Spain, for world domination). The association was established with the aim of helping to recruit people to the navy. And is now a charity.
