On the sign:

Translation of the text on the sign:
Symbol of the 60th anniversary of the kibbutz

The water tower
Built between the years 1952-1954.
Already at the beginning of its construction, the tower was the symbol of the kibbutz as it appeared on the cover of the brochure illustrated by Zeev Gutkind, some believe that he also designed the tower’s special shape. The ground floor and upper floor were used as a water reservoir. The middle floor has gone through many incarnations, serving as a home for the members’ library, for the first Benjamin (Shafrir) class, for the local painting club, for the atelier of Rebecca Rabinowitz-Kraus, for the video and media industry.
Today the lower pool is still used as a water reservoir, on the middle floor there is a photography studio. The upper pool is currently empty.
