The sign at the train station in Cascais marks 100 years of the railway line between Cascais and Lisbon - "Cascais Line".
The sign placed in 1989 marked the 100th anniversary of the line that initially reached the Pedrouços station in Lisbon (a station that no longer exists), a year later the line reached the Alcântara-Mar station, and in 1895, it reached the station it still reaches today - Cais do Sodré
