The monument is designed like a ship sailing in a sea full of rocks and scraps

The monument, which, as mentioned, was made by the sculptor Roda Reilinger, was inaugurated in 1962, the year in which Denya Square was inaugurated, a square dedicated to the rescue of Danish Jews.
