שכונת בניין ומלאכה
השכונה הוקמה, ביוזמת התאחדות בעלי המלאכה, עבור חברי האגודה. בשנת 1933, הוקמה חברת "בניין ומלאכה" לשם בניית בתי השכונה על אדמות שהיקצה להם ועד שכונת תלפיות. בשנת 1935 החלו בבניית הבתים. במהלך תקופת המנדט נבנו 19 בתים, וניטעה גם החורשה הראשונה בשכונה. במלחמת העצמאות, עם פלישת הצבא המצרי לאזור, פונו הנשים והילדים וחלק מבתי השכונה נפגעו ונבזזו בידי הכוחות הלוחמים.

حي بنيان وملاخا (التعمير والحرف)
أقيم الحي بمبادرة اتحاد أصحاب الحرف لأعضاء الاتحاد على أرض خصصتها لجنة حي تلبيوت أقيمت البيوت الأولى عام ١٩٣٥ وخلال فترة الانتداب البريطاني أقيم ۱۹ بيتا كما تم غرس الأشجار . خلال حرب ١٩٤٨ تم إبعاد النساء والأولاد من الحي فتضررت بعض المنازل.

BINYAN U-MELAKHAH NEIGHBORHOOD
The Binyan u-Melakhah (Building and Crafts) neighborhood was built at the initiative of the Craftsmen’s Union established in 1933. The construction on the land allotted by the Talpiot Committee started in 1935. Until 1948 only 19 houses were built and the grove planted. During the war of independence women and children were evacuated, some houses were damaged and looted by the fighting forces.

The sign shape is rectangular but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
