האורווה

בשנים 1955-1928 מלאו סוסים ועגלונים תפקיד מרכזי במשק. הקשר עם רחובות וגדרה כמו גם עם השדות וחצר ’המחנה’ התבצע ע"י צוות האורווה. בשנת 1940 הוקמה אורוות הקבע שכללה בית מלאכה, בו טיפלו בכל אביזרי הענף (רתמות, יצולי עגלות, פרסות ועוד).
העגלונים והסוסים התמודדו עם קשיים רבים במשך כמעט 30 שנים אך שמרו על ’רוח טובה’ שלא עזרה להם מול שיני הזמן. עם השנים הוחלפו הסוסים בטרקטורים ובמכוניות וכיום נמצא במבנה משרד התחבורה של הקיבוץ.

The stable

In the years 1928-1955, horses and carriages played a central role in the economy. The connection with Rehovot and Gedera as well as with the fields and the yard of the ’camp’ was carried out by the stable staff. In 1940, the permanent stables were established which included a workshop, where they took care of all the accessories of the industry (harnesses, carts, horseshoes, etc.).
The wagons and horses faced many difficulties for almost 30 years but kept a ’good spirit’ that did not help them against the ravages of time. Over the years, the horses were replaced by tractors and cars and today the kibbutz’s Ministry of Transportation is located in the building.
