Comments:
The statue, made by William McMillan, is placed in Greenwich, London. The statue is dedicated to Sir Walter Raleigh, writer, poet, member of parliament and explorer. The statue was placed in 1959 to mark the 350th anniversary of the establishment of the British settlement in Virginia, United States, a settlement that Walter Raleigh worked to establish.

The statue was initially placed in Whitehall in London, and in 2001 it moved to this place - the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.
