Comments:
The monument was placed in memory of 4 people from Petah Tikva who fell in the events of 1921 (Jaffa riots). The riots that began on May 1, 1921 and lasted for 5 days, stemmed from the Arab demand for the establishment of an Arab state in the Land of Israel. The riots began with acts of murder in Jaffa, and spread to other places including Petah Tikva, Hadera and Rehovot.

On 5.5 the attack on Petah Tikva took place, 30 men under the leadership of Avshalom Gisin and Avraham Shapira fought the rioters. Four was killed, Avshalom Gisin among them.
