QUEEN SQUARE To Commemorate the 25th Year of the Reign of HER MAJESTY, QUEEN ELIZABETH II and the 250th Anniversary of the Design of the Square by JOHN WOOD THE ELDER, ARCHITECT, the Obelisk of 1738 was repaired and the Railings were provided by Contributors to THE BATH PRESERVATION TRUST APPEAL
The sign was placed on the 250th anniversary of the planning of the square (1727) by John Wood the elder, and on the 25th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
