VILLE DE PARIS

Jardin médiéval du musée de Cluny
2000

The organization of the square is a contemporary creation inspired by the gardens of the Middle Ages, in which plants were grouped according to their use, vegetable or medicinal, in spaces with geometric contours. Built by Pierre de Chalus, abbot of Cluny in the 16th century, the Hôtel de Cluny now houses the National Museum of the Middle Ages. It rests on the remains of the Gallo-Roman baths.
