Statue dedicated to Anthony of Padua - Saint Anthony of Lisbon (1195-1231), a Christian saint born in Lisbon. The statue is located in front of the church, which, according to tradition, is located exactly where the saint was born Click for sign's details.

Saint Anthony is also known as the saint of matchmaking, and some believe that if you throw a coin at the statue, and then touch the book that the saint is holding, you will be blessed with love and a good marriage.
The statue was made by Domingos Soares Branco and was inaugurated in 1982 during the visit of Pope John Paul II to Lisbon, in the Church of Saint Anthony
