Born in Saint-Étienne, France (1955)
A French painter who, since 1986, has developed a distinctive, consistent working method that characterizes his work. He divides the canvas into two halves with a vertical line down the center. He then paints an abstract composition on one side and attempts to reproduce it freehand on the other, introducing slight variations between the two halves.
