Born in Nice, France (1928-2005), under the name Armand Pierre Fernandez.
One of the leaders in the style of neo-realism in sculpture - the use of objects from everyday life in artwork. Arman who was mainly worked in the United States, made great use of musical instruments (violins, cellos, pianos) , perhaps because his father was an amateur cellist.
His sculptures are also characterized by the use of the same element many times: cello , axe , flag
