Born in Tours, France (1862–1934). A French sculptor, winner of the Prix de Rome in 1891, who later served as President of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in 1930.
Among his best-known works are the National Monument to the National Convention in the Panthéon in Paris and the Archibald Fountain in Sydney, Australia.
