Point number 14 in the history of Gedera as depicted on the wall at the southern entrance of the town.

During the First World War, in the battles between the British and Ottoman forces, in November 1917, the battle was fought on the Ma’ar-Katra (Gedera) hills at which the Turks were defeated.
