On the sign:

"Hatikva" House
Home of Shmuel Cohen

The modest home of the farmer Shmuel Cohen once.stood here.
Shmuel Cohen adapted the melody of a Rumanian folk song to the words of Naftali Herz Imber’s poem, "Hatikva" (1888).
The song quickly became popular both in Eretz Israel and abroad, eventually becoming the national anthem. Music notes decorate the ironwork on the balconies of the modern house.

Also take note of the anthem words that appear on the side of the building (near the porch where the anthem notes can be clearly seen) Click for a larger image and in the enlarged picture Click for a larger image
