במקום הזה תקף לח"י ב-כ"ו בכסלו תש"ח (9.12.1947) שני משוריינים בריטיים.
בהתקפה נהרג הלוחם,
שלום צדוק ז"ל.
האנגלים ירו לכל עבר והרגו את התלמידה, ציפורה בסמני ז"ל,
שהייתה באוטובוס, בדרכה לבית הספר.

On 9.12.1947, members of the Lehi attacked two British armored vehicles at this spot.
The British opened file, killing Shalom Zadok,
a Lehi fighter, and Zipporah Basmani, a student riding on a bus on the way to school.
