Shivat Zion neighborhood
September 1909 - Seventy-five immigrants came from the Hidan district in northern Yemen and settled in Rishon Lezion.
They lived in a barracks compound in the colony and worked as agricultural laborers. Winery workers. Craftsmen. Merchants. Slaughters and service providers. In 1919, the immigrants purchased forty-four dunams from one of the farmers of the colony, where the first twenty families built their homes.
On November 12, 1922, Yemenite immigrants inaugurated their settlement "Shivat Zion"
