שיזף מצוי
עץ שיזף מצוי (דומים) ממשפחת האשחריים, ירוק עד, פורח בחודשי אוגוסט עד אפריל. הפרחים צהבהבים ומואבקים על ידי דבורים. הפירות בצבעי צהוב-כתום, טעמם מתוק, והם ידועים בשמם "דומים".
גילו של העץ מוערך ביותר מ-130 שנה (שנת 1870).
העץ מלווה את הישוב ואת ילדי הגן הראשון במושב חרות מאז הקמתו.

בעל חשיבותו הנופית וההיסטורית, בחרה היחידה לאיכות הסביבה לכלול אותו במיזם שיקום עצים ותיקים בשטחי המועצה בשיתוף עם משרד החקלאות ופיתוח הכפר.

Christ’s thorn jujube
A common jujube tree ("Domim") from the Rhamnaceae family, evergreen, blooms from August to April. The flowers are yellowish and pollinated by bees. The fruits are yellow-orange in color, taste sweet, and are known by their "Domim" names.
The age of the tree is estimated to be more than 130 years (1870).
The tree accompanies the settlement and the children of the first kindergarten in Moshav Herut since its establishment.

With its scenic and historical importance, the Environment Unit chose to include it in a project to rehabilitate old trees in the council’s areas in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
