Emmaus Nicopolis - a district city from 220 AD, where Jews and Samaritans also lived alongside Christians. Beginning in the fourth century AD, the Christian presence in the city increased, a church was established there, and according to Christianity, Jesus was revealed to two of his disciples after his resurrection.
