Operation Harel was, in fact, a continuation of Operation Nachshon, in which three convoys containing more than 600 vehicles were transferred to Jerusalem. As part of this operation, all the soldiers of the battalion were taken to Jerusalem in one of the convoys (Harel Convoy).
