במהלך מלחמת העולם הראשונה פרחה היצירתיות הטכנולוגית בתחומים רבים וביניהם גם במסילות הרכבת, שעליהן הופעלו, בין היתר, קרונות עם מנועי מטוסים, קרוניות עם מפרשים וגם קרונית המנוע שבתמונה, שהייתה הכלאה בין קרונית דחיפה לאופנוע. הבקבוק שעל מושב האופנוע מלמד, שבאותם ימים לא הייתה הקפדה יתרה על הימנעות משתיית אלכוהול בעת נהיגה.
באותה תקופה, הרכבת שימשה גם להעברת אספקה לצבאות תורכיה וגרמניה, שאוכסנה במחסנים שבתחנת הרכבת בירושלים.

خلال الحرب العالمية الأولى ازدهر الإبداع التكنولوجي في العديد من المجالات بما فيها السكك الحديدية ، التي شغلت عليها ايضا عربات مع محركات طائرات وعربات مع أشرعة والعربية ذات المحرك الموجودة في الصورة ، والتي كانت مزيج عربة دفع ودراجة نارية . توضح الزجاجة الموجودة على مقعد الدراجة النارية عدم الالتزام بتجنب تناول الكحول أثناء القيادة في تلك الفترة .
استخدم القطار ايضالنقل المعدات للجيوش التركية والألمانية التي حفظت في مخازن المحطة

During World War I technological creativity blossomed in many realms, including the railway. Among the variety of improvised railway cars during World War I were those operated by airplane engines, others fitted with sails, and in this photograph [the image is in side 1] a cross between a railway push-trolley and a motorcycle. The bottle on the motorcycle seat shows that at that time drinking alcoholic beverages while driving was not strictly avoided.
The railway below was used to transfer supplies , which were stored in warehouses at the Jerusalem station, to the Turkish and the German armies.

Sign No. 13 in a series of signs placed on or around lighting poles, including the history of the old railway line to Jerusalem, along which its route extends the HaMesila (Railway) Park.
