Translation of the text on the sign:
Symbol of the Harel Palmach Brigade

The Military Cemetery
Here, near the cemetery of Kibbutz Kiryat Anavim, the month of Shvat 1948 (January 1948) began with the burial of the Palmach fighters who fell in battle on the way to Jerusalem.
For ten months until October 1948, most of the casualties of the Palmach Harel Brigade, who fell in battles on the way to the city and in Jerusalem, were buried here. Today, 138 fighters are buried here, most of them Palmach Harel fighters and some of the "HaHagana" fighters from the Etzioni Brigade.
