משכנות שאננים - ימין משה
משכנות שאננים נבנתה בשנת 1880 כשכונה הראשונה של יהודים מחוץ לחומות העיר העתיקה. מתחם בן שני מבנים ארוכים, קם ביוזמת משה מונטפיורי בעזרת קרן בת 50,000 דולר, עיזבון של הנדבן היהודי-אמריקני יהודה טורא, לטובת ירושלים ותושביה. לימים הוקמה בצמוד לה שכונת ימין משה בידי בני העדה היהודית ממוצא תורכי בסיוע הקרן על שם מונטפיורי. לאחר איחוד העיר בשנת 1987, ביוזמת ראש העיר דאז, טדי קולק הוחלט על שיקום ושימור השכונה. הבתים הופקעו והתושבים פונו תמורת פיצויים כספיים, והשכונה שינתה פניה לשכונת מגורים יוקרתית. מתחם משכנות שאננים הפך לבית הארחה לאנשי רוח, מרכז המוסיקה ירושלים ומרכז כינוסים על שם אדנאוור.

مشكنوت شائنیم – يمين موشيه شأننيم
أقيم الحي اليهودي الأول خارج أسوار البلدة القديمة ، مشكنوت شأننيم عام ١٨٦٠ بمبادرة المصرفي والناشط من أجل المجتمع اليهودي موشيه مونتفيوري اليهودي البريطاني وبأموال تبرع بها اليهودي الأمريكي يهودا تورو . تأسس حي يمين موشيه في ١٨٩٢-١٨٩٤ بمبادرة اليهود من أصل تركي . بعد ١٩٦٧تم ترميم الحي وتحويله إلى حي راقياً . تحول مجمع مشكنوت شأننيم إلى مركز ثقافي ودار ضيافة للكتاب والفنانين ومركز أديناوير للمؤتمرات ومركز الموسيقى .

MISHKENOT SHA’ANANIM AND YEMIN MOSHEH
Built in 1860, Mishkenot Sha’ananim was the first Jewish neighborhood outside the Old City. Yemin Mosheh was an initiative of the Turkish Jewish community in the Old City built in the 1890’s with the support of the Montefiore Fund. After 1967, by Mayor Teddy Kollek’s initiative, Yemin Moshe was renovated for up-scale population. Mishkenot Sha’ananim has become a guesthouse for writers and artists and the Konrad Adenauer Conference alongside the Jerusalem Music Center.

The sign shape is rectangular but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
