First Absorption in the Homeland
1937-1940
This building was used for the concentrations of illegal immigrants who came to Israel in 1937-1940 in an aliyah called the "Af-Al-Pi" of the Jabotinsky movement and landed on the nearby beach: here they were instructed and from here evacuated by members of the national military organization (Etzel) to places of absorption throughout the country.
