נחום גולדמן
בבית זה התגורר ד"ר נחום גולדמן ז"ל. נחום גולדמן נולד בשנת 1895 בליטא, בעיר ויצנבו. הוא גדל והתחנך בגרמניה, בעיר פרנקפורט, שם למד פילוסופיה ומשפטים. בשנת 1936 היה שותף לכינון הקונגרס היהודי העולמי (WJC) ובשנת 1956 נבחר לכהן כנשיא הקונגרס היהודי העולמי. בתפקיד הזה כיהן עד שנת 1968.
ד"ר נחום גולדמן ייסד את מועצת הארגונים היהודיים (COJO). במשך פעילותו היה מעורב בקידום כמה מן הנושאים הציוניים, כגון: משא ומתן עם הבריטים, ייצוג הסוכנות היהודית בניו-יורק ומשא ומתן בעניין הסכמי התשלומים עם גרמניה.
ד"ר נחום גולדמן נפטר בשנת 1982 (י’ אלול תשמ"ב).

Dr. Nahum Goldmann Z’l who occupied an apartment in this building was born in 1895 in Viznevo, Lithuania.
He grew up in Germany and was educated in the city of Frankfurt where he studies Philosophy and law. In 1936 he participated in the establishment of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) of which he was elected to serve as its President from 1956 until 1968.
Subsequently Dr. Goldmann founded the Conference of Jewish Organizations (COJO). In the course of his activities he was involved with significant aspects of Zionism which included negotiations with the British government, representing the Jewish Agency In New York and negotiating agreements on the subject of the Reparation Agreements with Germany.
Dr. Goldmann died in August 29th, 1982.

The sign shape is rectangular but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
