Comments:
Point in the "Glory Track" - a track launched in 2001 and dedicated to composers, conductors, musicians and opera singers, all in the field of classical music.
The route, which had about 100 plaques, is currently in the process of dismantling (as of 2022), due to the low interest and the high cost of preserving the plaques.
(This can be seen in the current plaque, the circle above the orchestra’s name previously contained an engraving of the orchestra’s emblem, but over time the engraving disappeared and was not renewed - only the text surrounding the logo remains).

The current plaque is dedicated to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The plaque indicates the date of the orchestra’s first concert on March 28, 1842

Translation of the text on the sign:
WIENER PHILHARMONIKER
1ST PHILHARMONIC CONCERT

MARCH 28, 1842
Grosser Redoutensaal hall
