Museu dedicado à obra de Paula Rego e do marido, Victor Willing (1928-1988), com projeto arquitetónico de Eduardo Souto Moura, distinguido com vários prémios de arquitetura, entre os quais o Prémio Pritzker 2011. O projeto e a escolha do arquiteto correspondem à vontade da artista. Paula Rego nasce em Lisboa (1935-), tendo aos 17 anos ingressado na prestigiada Slade School of Fine Art, em Londres, onde reside, tendo sido galardoada.com variadíssimos prémios e distinções que refletem, precisamente, o reconhecimento internacional da sua obra.

The Museum houses the work of Paula Rego and her husband Victor Willing (1928-1988) and was designed by the architect Eduardo Souto Moura, (1952-) who has been awarded several accolades for architecture among which was the 2011 Pritzker Prize. The project and the choice of architect conform to the wishes of the artist.
Paula Rego was born in Lisbon (1935-), at 17 years of age she enrolled in the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art in London where she now lives, and has been awarded with a wide variety of prizes and distinctions reflecting the exact measure of the international recognition her work has gained.
