בית הבאר
אדמת ראשון-לציון לא זימנה למתיישבים כל מקור מים חיים והם החלו בחפירת שתי בארות שאחת מהן נעזבה. יוסף פינברג נשלח לאירופה והצליח לגייס את הברון רוטשילד לסיוע בחפירת הבאר. ביום ט"ו באדר א’ תרמ"ג, 23 בפברואר 1883, נמצאו המים בעומק 48 מ’. ממעמקי הבאר עלתה הקריאה "מצאנו מים!" שנחרטה על סמל העיר לדור דור.
בבאר הותקנה משאבת קיטור והוקם מעליה מבנה שבו היו גם בית מרחץ ומקווה טהרה. כיום מהווה הבאר חלק מתצוגות המחיאון ומוקרן בה המיצג "מצאנו מים".
מבנה באר המושבה שוקם ושוחזר בשנת תש"ע, 2010, על פי תיעוד מארכיון מוזיאון ראשון-לציון.

The Village Well
When the pioneers founded Rishon Le-Zion, they had no fresh water source and immediately began digging a well On February 23rd, 1883, after 7 months of intensive digging, water was found at a depth of 48 meters and the cry "We found water!" ("Matzanu Mayim") could be heard. These words are inscribed on the city’s emblem, commemorating this life-saving event.
