The sign is on the wall of the building where David Avidan lived - a poet, writer and translator, born in Tel Aviv, Israel (1934-1995).
A well-known poet and one of the pioneers of new Hebrew poetry. He published dozens of books of poetry, translated plays and was also a screenwriter and director of several motion pictures. He also innovated many words in the Hebrew language.
