Painter, Sculptor

Born in Tel Aviv, Israel (1932-2015). Won the Israel Prize for Sculpture in 1995. As a painter he is best known for the paintings of sheep that are in many of his works and originate from the fact that in his youth he was a shepherd

One of the most important Israeli sculptors, his sculptures can be found in many places, and in addition to the Israel Prize, he won many prizes: the Dizengoff Prize for the art of painting and sculpture (1990), a prize from the Tel Aviv Museum, and also prizes from various countries around the world.

One of his sculptures - "Hitromemut" located in the HaTarbut Square is one of the hallmarks of Tel Aviv

 

Menashe Kadishman, who lived in Tel Aviv, is immortalized on a sign that appears at his place of residence on Bar-Kochba Street
