The sign is on the wall of the building where Max Brod lived - writer, composer, born in Prague, Czech Republic (1884-1968), immigrated to Israel in 1939.
Wrote books and plays, in addition also engaged in translation.
Best known as a close friend of Franz Kafka, and as the executor of all of Kafkas writings. Although Kafka ordered all his writings to be burned upon his death, Brod disobeyed and published Kafkas writings. Thanks to him, humanity got to enjoy Kafkas writings.
