The Levant Fair occupied 100 dunams including pavilions of the participating countries, of commercial companies and of national institutions and organizations. The fair’s pavilions were constructed in the International Style. The fair had great importance in the history of local architecture, and several pavilions were built for it by the most outstanding local architects, including Richard Kaufmann who designed the central pavilion, and designed the Totzeret Haaretz (Produce of the Land) Palace to resemble a ship, and Arieh Elhanani who designed the fair’s emblem - the flying camel.
