On the sign:

The Totzeret Haaretz (Produce of the Land) Palace was the central structure of the fair and presented the achievements of Hebrew industry. The structure was designed to resemble a ship and was considered to be one of the architectural pinnacles of the International Style. The Palace was designed by noted architect Richard Kaufmann, who was placed in charge of the 1934 fair’s master plan. Tel Aviv’s half jubilee was celebrated during the 1934 fair; the city was undergoing accelerated growth and the city’s emblem was displayed on the Totzeret Haaretz Palace.
