בית עווד שימש למגורים ותוכנן בשנת 1926 על ידי האדריכל יוסף ברלין בסגנון האקלקטי, אר-דקו מקומי שהיה אופייני לעבודות שלו בתקופה זו. המבנה הוכרז לשימור בהגבלות מחמירות וממוקם באזור החיץ של הכרזת אונסק"ו על "העיר הלבנה" כאתר מורשת תרבות עולמית. חזית הבית מורכבת מצרוף אלמנטים מהאדריכלות הקלאסית, פליסטרים בפינות הבניין מורכבים מפריזמות חדות וגמלונים שטוחים מעל הפתחים, כאשר ציר הסימטריה מודגש על ידי ארקר מחודד האופייני לסגנון של ברלין.
עבודות השימור ותוספת הבניה בוצעו בין השנים 2015-2019 בתכנון בר אוריין אדריכלים.

Beit Awad designed in 1926, was used for residential purposes. Designed by architect Joseph Berlin in an Eclectic Style with focal Art Deco that was characteristic of his work during this period. The building was declared for preservation in "White City" World Cultural Heritage Site buffer zone. The façade of the house features elements from classical architecture. Pilasters at the corners of the building are composed of sharp prisms and flat gables above the openings, with the axis of symmetry accentuated by a pointed arch typical of Bertin’s style.
The conservation work and building additions were carried out between the years 2015-2019 by Bar Orian Architects

استخدم بيت عوض للسكن وخططه المهندس المعماري يوسف برلين عام ١٩٢٦ على الطراز الأكلكتي ، الفن الزخرفي آرت ديكو المحلي الذي كان مميزاً الأعماله في تلك الفترة . أعلن عن المبنى للصيانة والحفاظ عليه بقيود صارمة ويقع في المنطقة الفاصلة لإعلان اليونسكو عن " المدينة البيضاء " ي قع تراث عالمي . واجهة البيت مكونة من دمج عناصر من الهندسة المعمارية الكلاسيكية ، أعمدة ملتصقة بالجدران في زوايا المبنى مبنية من أشكال منشور حادة وقوصرة مسطحة فوق الفتحات بحيث أن محور التماثل بارز بواسطة قطعة مدبية مميزة لأسلوب برلين . نُفذت أشغال الصيانة وإضافة البناء بين الأعوام ٢٠١٥-٢٠١٩ بتخطيط بار اوريان مهندسين معماريين
