Comments:
Point number 5 in the history of Gedera as depicted on the wall at the southern entrance of the town.

Until the well was excavated, residents of Gedera had to go to the neighboring Arab village of Katara to fetch water, or even to a village farther away at Bashshit. During rains, they would sometimes bring water from the surrounding wadis.
