Comments:
A point in the historic Wroclaw Pathway, a trail that runs along Nankiera Street and describes events of influence in the city’s history

The present sign marks the year 1741 - during the War of the Austrian Succession between Austria and Prussia, Frederick II of Prussia conquered Silesia from Austria. Wroclaw’s protestant residents surrendered without struggle in January 1741. Wroclaw was granted the status of a capital city, and was named Bresslau
On the sign is the name of the city and the single-headed eagle of Prussia (in contrast to the two-headed eagle that was during the Austrian rule Click for sign's details)
