The sign belongs to the series of signs depicting outdoor sculptures throughout the city of Tel Aviv - Jaffa.

The monument is located in Tel Aviv’s 11th square - a memorial dedicated to the 11 Israeli athletes who were murdered at the Munich Olympics Click for sign's details

The sculpture on which the sign is pointing was photographed that day. You can see the wreaths of memory at the foot of the statue, and behind it the memorial plates for the athletes Click for a larger image

About the Artist: Eli Ilan - Born in Winnipeg, Canada (1928-1982), he immigrated to Israel in 1948. In his place of residence in Old Jaffa, Tel Aviv has a commemorative sign that also appears on the site Click for sign's details

About the Sculpture : The statue dedicated to the 11 Israeli athletes murdered at the Munich Olympics is Eli Ilan’s most important sculpture in Israel.
