Beit Rivka

ילדי הגן של מתיישבי רמות השבים התחנכו בשנים הראשונות בכפר מל"ל. בתחילת שנות ה-40 עבר הגן לרמות השבים, ושכן בבית פרטי עד שנבנה ’בית רבקה’.
הבית נחנך בסוף שנת 1944, בסמוך לבית העם, ובתחילה נועד להיות בית נוער. הוא נבנה מתרומתה של משפחת מנהיים, ונקרא על שמה של רבקה מנהיים שבחייה התמסרה לנוער. אולם כשנבנה הבית, נמסר רק חדר אחד לנוער ושאר חדריו (חדר ומטבחון) הוקצו לגן הילדים. כשהוקם צריף הנוער נמסר כל הבניין לרשות הגן.

In the early years, Ramot Hashavim sent its preschool children to Kfar Malal to receive their education. In the early 1940’s a kindergarten was opened in Ramot Hashavim and operated out of a private home until Beit Rivka was built.
Beit Rivka was named after Rivka Mannheim and opened at the end of 1944 next to Beit Ha’Am. The building was supposed to be a youth center, but when it was built, only one room was dedicated to youth activities while the rest were given over to the kindergarten. Once the Youth Cabin was built, the entire building was used by the kindergarten.
