A large convoy that went out to deliver supplies to Gush Etzion, which was under siege. On its way back near the village of Nabi Daniel, the convoy encountered a number of checkpoints, at the last checkpoint it failed to cross, a battle developed between the convoy members and the residents of the nearby villages. Fifteen members of the convoy were killed in the battle. Soldiers of the Sixth Battalion participated in the security of the convoy and fought in battle.
