The Sixth Battalion participated in the battles of Gush Etzion, starting with the first battle Click for sign's details, and later in the battles Click for sign's details and securing the convoys (the 35 Click for sign's details, Nabi Daniel Click for sign's details). On May 13, 1948, Gush Etzion fell.
