The Ottoman Railway Station
The Ottoman Railway Station was inaugurated in 1892. It was one of the few public buildings built during the Ottoman regime. The station was operational until 1998.
The original building is symmetrical, containing the concourse and administrative offices of the station. During the British Mandatory period architectural elements were added in order to lend a neo-classical style to the building.
In the past few years the station went through extensive renovations and conservation, and as of 2013 it was converted into a cultural and entertainment complex.
