Scientific name - Rhamnus alaternus | Arabic name - Zuprein, Zifrin نبق متبادل
Family - Rhamnaceae. Shrub or small dioecious tree, evergreen. The leaves are hard, shiny, bald and serrated with a short tip. Found mainly in moist groves and stream channels. The black fruit is shiny and juicy and is used as a food source for birds.
