תרצ"ח 1938 הוקם "מועדון מזכרת" ששימש בשנים אלה את ילדי האזור שלא למדו בבית ספר.
תשל"ה 1975 נבנתה קומה שניה ע"י הקרן לירושלים והמועדון שימש לקשישים וכגנון.
תש"ס 2000 שוקם הבית ונקרא ע"ש קֶטֶה ופרנץ ווינר. הוקם בו מרכז מורשת לסיפורם של היוצאים מחוץ לחומה לבנות את ירושלים החדשה.

Symbol of the "Photograph in Stone" project - Mazkeret Moshe 1882 - JERUSALEM

1938 The building served as the Mazkeret Moshe youth club for the use of those neighborhood youth who were not in the school system.
1975 An additional storey was added by Keren Yerushalayim with an old-age centre and a kindergarten.
2000 Renovated in the memory of Käte and Franz Wiener as a heritage centre documenting the stories of the people who settled the new residential areas outside the Old City walls

מועדון מזכרת
מועדון נוער שהפך למרכז הקהילתי הראשון בעיר, הוקם בשנת 1938 ביוזמת הוועד הלאומי ומנהלו הראשון דר ’ אברהם נדד, שהתמקד יחד עם צוות מדריכים בינהם משה טמיר, צבי יעבץ ואנכי (החתום מטה) בחינוכם של נערים קשי לימוד ובטיפוח חיי קהילה פעילים.

Mo’adon Mazkeret
Established in 1938 by the Va’ad Le’umi (National Committee), the Mo’adon Mazkeret started as a youth club and became the first community centre in Jerusalem.
Dr. Avraham Nadad, the first director, was devoted to the education of underprivileged youth and the promotion of communal life.
He was assisted by a team which included Moshe Tamir, Zvi Ya’avetz and myself (undersigned)

פרופ’ פרנקנשטיין הקדיש את חייו לטיפולם וקידומם של ילדים ומשפחות במצוקה.
לאמונתו, באמצעות שיטות הוראה, טיפול סוציאלי ונפשי, ניתן להתגבר על הקשיים מהם סבלו.
איש חינוך, פסיכולוג, פילוסוף ומשורר, בעל השכלה תרבותית רחבה, אנושי ורחב לב לזולתו, לצידו רעיתו רחומה לבית דרוקמן, אחות רפואה קהילתית.

Prof. Frankenstein and his wife Rahuma

Karl Frankenstein (1905-1990)
Prof. Frankenstein devoted his life to the care and advancement of underprivileged children and families, his philosophy being that through careful instruction, social and spiritual guidance, the everyday hardships could be overcome.
Educator, psychologist, philosopher, poet, cultured, generous and humane, Prof. Frankenstein was married to Rahuma (nee Drukman), a community medical nurse.

"מועדון מזכרת" בשנת 1942

אברהם נדד (פרבולוצקי) תר"ע - תשנ"ד
נולד בחרקוב אוקראינה, למד בוורשה פולין ונשא שם את שולמית לאשה. ב -1938 עלה לא"י, בשנות ה -40 התיישב בירושלים. ד"ר נדד עסק בעבודה חינוכית קהילתית עם ילדי רחוב, ניהל את מועדון מזכרת משה כפסיכולוג עם אידיאולוגיה סוציאליסטית. בהמשך טיפל גם בנוער עזוב בת"א. שימש כפסיכולוג ראשי של משרד הבריאות.

"Mo’adon Mazkeret" in 1942

Avraham Nadad (Perevolotsky) (1910-1994)
Born in Kharkov, Ukraine, Avraham Nadad studied in Warsaw where he married Shulamit. In 1938 they made Aliya, settling in Jerusalem in the 40’s.
A psychologist with a socialist ideology, Dr. Nadad directed the Mazkeret Moshe Community Club, devoting himself to the education of street youth. Later on he also cared for deprived youth in Tel Aviv. He served as chief psychologist in the Health Ministry.

משפחת וויִנֵר
בתצלום האחרון, משנת 1938 בברלין, מספר חודשים לפני התרסקותה של המשפחה, נראים אבא שלי, הָנְס ווינר (משמאל) ודודה מָרְיון ודוד גוּנְטֶר ליד אמא שלהם קֶטֶה, הסבתא שלי. מעל, סבא פְרָנְץ.
הָנְס וּמָרְיון נשלחו ב"טרנספורט הילדים" בחודש מרץ 1939 לשבדיה, גוּנְטֵר הגיע לא"י, סבא וסבתא נרצחו באושוויץ בתשרי תש"ב (1942).

The Wiener family in 1938

The Wiener Family
This last picture was taken in Berlin, 1938, only months before the family was shattered.
My father, Hans Wiener, to the left, with aunt Marion and uncle Günter next to their mother Käte, my grandmother. On top is grandfather Franz. Father and Marion were sent on the "Kinder Transport" to Sweden in March, 1939. Günter went to Eretz Israel. Grandmother and grandfather were murdered in Auschwitz, Tishri/September 1942.
